Years of race and training experience highlighted the shortcomings of the various available lycra pad designs on the market, which would often break down quickly and put pressure on soft tissue because of the soft material. 51 Speedshop set out to create a solution in the form of a pad that provides comfort, durability, and maintains its good looks. After much testing, the "goldilocks" pad hardness was found, and is achieved by two part injection molding. This means 51 Speedshop pads provide proper support without worry of outer shell breaking down quickly, to keep you riding comfortably in style.
